Google has shared a special Google Doodle on the occasion of Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22 every year. The Doodle addresses the pressing issue of climate change and shows a time-lapse created using Google Earth images across four different places on our planet. The time-lapse imagery from places like Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, Sermersooq in Greenland, Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and Harz Forests in Germany shows the effect of climate change on our planet.
“Today’s annual Earth Day Doodle addresses one of the most pressing topics: climate change. Using real-time imagery from Google Earth Timelapse and other sources, the Doodle shows the impact of climate change across four different locales around our planet,” said Google. “Acting now and together to live more sustainably is necessary to avoid the worst effects of climate change,” it added.
