Emily started at Earth5R in April 2018. She is from the United States and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Emily lived in Mumbai for 2 years before attending university in the United States. She has a passion for animals and nature so seeing all the pollution in Mumbai inspired her to want to jump into action and create a change.
In her free time, she likes to watch movies, cook, and go swimming. During her time here in India, she was an active member of the Habitat for Humanity club at her school. She also volunteers with “Days For Girls” India.
At Earth5R, Emily worked on social media and communications as well as helping run community events. One day she hopes to see Mumbai become a sustainable city with a centralized waste management system.
