Sina Maurer from Germany completed her Mechanical engineering at the Technische Universität Braunschweig.
During her studies, she worked for an International Non-profit organization. At the organization, she was a part of various projects which taught entrepreneurial means to transform lives and shape a better sustainable world. For example, with one of the projects they reduced the waste production and helped the disabled to make products out of recycled paper.
After she finished her studies she wanted to travel, learn about different cultures and at the same time try influencing the people to be more sensitive towards the environmental. Through her work at Earth5R, she wants to spread ideas of nature conservation. At Earth5R, she was a part of the ‘Sustainable Livelihood Programme’ where they took to small villages from Mumbai to Pune, traveling on bicycles and teaching the women in different villages various means to a sustainable livelihood.
