Volunteer Environmentalist, UAE
Amal Badri is an aspiring engineer and is on the path to become a global leader. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor in Science and Engineering at New York University, Abu Dhabi. Before embarking on this journey, she lived and was brought up in Dubai, UAE. The patriotism she has for her country motivated her to make a difference in the Emirati community.
She believes that everyone is responsible for taking care of Earth’s environment and its inhabitants, maintaining it for coming generations. She was an active volunteer in high school, working for Red Crescent and tutoring students. To her, education is the key step towards progress and making change. She believes that being a part of her nation, the responsibility to lift it lies on her. She has to sow the seeds of education and enlightenment in it, and see them blossom into flowers of knowledge which will bring pride to her nation.
She loves photography, travelling the world and seeing beyond the borders that lay in front of her. As a kid, she visited over 25 countries to discover and take photos of the hidden gems of our planet. In each country that she visited, she stood in front of paradise-like scenes and realised that the most beautiful places belong to nature, changing her perspective on worldly matters. She realised that such landscapes are inspirations to artists, writers and innovators of this world. Working to preserve the environment and creating a world where environmentalism is a priority is the reason she joined Earth5R.
“I don’t want to protect the environment, I want to create a world where the environment doesn’t need protecting."
