Cultivating Green Leaders
Earth5R Intern conducted a workshop on creative waste management. He gave a lecture on waste segregation, teaching the 5R principles to kids. The workshop was conducted for 4th & 5th standard students of a BMC school near IIT, Powai under the ‘ACT Powai’ project, supported by Swiss Airlines Staff Foundation.
Ar. Archit Jain, a volunteer of Earth5R, passionate about sustainable lifestyle, created a platform for students where they could grasp the idea of living in a sustainable way. At the start, he talked about the importance of the 5Rs: Respect, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Restore.
The Earth talk was followed by a fun workshop for kids, painting with ground waste coffee. Waste paper & Waste Coffee was utilized for hand painting, the remaining coffee paint was poured into plants. Students gained immense interest on waste management.
