Recognized as a Project Leader at the 2018 Paris Peace Forum, Earth5R has come a long way, proving the transformative potential of collective action and technological innovation in driving sustainability. Today, we celebrate our ongoing impact and share exciting updates about our progress.

How Earth5R Contributes to the Peace Process
At Earth5R, our vision is clear: global problems need cooperative solutions, with both common citizens and corporate citizens at the forefront. Challenges such as climate change, terrorism, migration, and cyber insecurity know no borders and require international cooperation and collective action.
Unfortunately, today’s world often sees nations turning inward, making collaboration more difficult and leading the international community to fall short of necessary solutions.
The current global trajectory is concerning. Nations are fiercely competing for advantage, while populism undermines the institutions and mechanisms essential for collective action.
Democratic spaces are shrinking, inequalities are widening, and military expenditures are increasing even as the United Nations budget faces cuts.
International norms, particularly human rights, are being disregarded. The internet has become a chaotic space where data is hacked and fake news proliferates.
International justice is under scrutiny, and we are losing the race against global warming.
This situation is not conducive to peace. It leads to new conflicts across all continents. Peace is more than just the absence of war; it is built on solutions that reduce international tensions.
These solutions include cooperation to combat climate change and mitigate resource scarcity, institutions to manage power rivalries and administer global public goods, regulations to address power abuses and inequalities, and bridges between generations and genders to foster more peaceful societies.
Sustainable peace requires effective global governance. At Earth5R, our mission is to bridge this governance gap by placing common citizens and corporate citizens at the center.
We bring together all stakeholders to advance concrete solutions where none exist, supporting, improving, and complementing multilateral institutions.
These organizations, with their universal membership, have legitimate mandates for creating rules and mechanisms to solve transnational problems. However, when these institutions cannot act or their solutions are insufficient, we step in to fill the void.
We are a multi-stakeholder organization, fostering hybrid coalitions by gathering traditional and new actors of global governance. This includes states, international organizations, NGOs, companies, foundations, philanthropic organizations, development agencies, religious groups, trade unions, think tanks, universities, and civil society at large.
Importantly, we emphasize the role of common citizens and corporate citizens in driving these efforts.
Moreover, we are project-oriented and leverage the Earth5R App to connect and empower sustainability projects. The app functions as the “Uber of sustainability,” providing a platform for citizens and organizations to launch, support, and scale impactful initiatives.
By offering opportunities for engagement, resource sharing, and real-time impact tracking, the Earth5R App ensures that every project, no matter how small, can contribute to global sustainability efforts. Earth5R is committed to creating a more sustainable and peaceful world through effective global governance and collective action, with citizens at the heart of our mission.
The A.C.T. Project: Laying the Foundation
Earth5R’s story began with the A.C.T. Project (Action-Collaboration-Transformation), a pioneering initiative designed to improve environmental quality, uplift underprivileged citizens, and reduce plastic waste.
Originating in Powai, Mumbai, the project placed citizens and marginalized communities at the heart of social change. By identifying common needs across underprivileged groups, the A.C.T. Project created sustainable business models and trained emerging leaders, fostering markets for sustainable services and products.
This model has been successfully replicated in over 35 cities across India, engaging 350 ambassadors and 26,000 citizen volunteers, and impacting over 1.2 million women and youth.
Paris Peace Forum: A Platform for Global Recognition
The Paris Peace Forum is a prestigious platform dedicated to improving global governance through collective action. It convenes heads of state, leaders of international organizations, companies, and civil society organizations to develop coordination, rules, capacities, and political momentum.
Each year, the Forum’s annual event and Spring Meeting bring together global governance actors to pioneer new forms of cooperation and accelerate solutions to cross-border challenges.
In 2018, Earth5R was honored to be selected as a Project Leader at the Paris Peace Forum. This recognition highlighted our innovative approach and the significant impact of our initiatives.
The Forum’s support and validation provided a substantial boost to our mission, underscoring the importance of our work on a global stage.
Earth5R App: Bridging Local Actions to Global Sustainability
Building on the success of the A.C.T. Project, we launched the Earth5R App to scale our efforts and connect local sustainability actions to a global network.
This AI-driven platform, recognized by Google, enhances urban greenery and reduces carbon footprints worldwide. Since its launch, the app has mobilized over 50,000 environmental actors, transforming individual efforts into global sustainability movements.
The Earth5R App’s impact is profound:
- 7.8 million+ total global volunteering hours
- 92,000+ tons of CO2 offset
- 79,000+ plantations
- 6.3 million+ climate-conscious audience reached
These achievements are a testament to the power of collective action and the potential of technology in driving environmental sustainability.
A Journey of Progress and Impact
Our journey from the A.C.T. Project to the Earth5R App reflects a significant evolution in our approach and impact. The Paris Peace Forum played a crucial role in this journey, providing a platform for global recognition and support.
The Forum continues to serve as an incubator and platform for new global governance policy initiatives, pioneering new forms of cooperation between governments, international organizations, civil society, and businesses to deliver concrete results.
Since its creation, the Paris Peace Forum has supported and accompanied more than 500 projects addressing the cross-border challenges of our time. Being part of this esteemed platform has enabled Earth5R to scale up our projects and launch new initiatives, furthering our mission to create a sustainable future.
