In the month of September, Earth5R was chosen to be a part of the first Paris Peace Forum as a Project Leader in the Environmental sector for promoting peace with global governance.
The Paris Peace Forum is a forum for discussion and debate with a special emphasis on civil society initiatives and for sharing experiences and innovative solutions involving all the stakeholders in governance:
Heads of State and Government leaders, local and national elected representatives;
Regional and international organisations, especially UN agencies;
Civil society in its broadest sense: companies, associations, NGOs, foundations, think tanks, media, trade unions, religious leaders, philanthropists, experts etc.
With these actors, the Paris Peace Forum aims to strengthen the actions of existing multilateral organisations, primarily the United Nations, and speed up implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Paris Peace Forum’s Selection Committee received close to 900 applications from 116 countries. Among them, 119 projects were selected to be showcased at the first Paris Peace Forum, taking place from 11 to 13 November 2018 at La Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris. Earth5R’s ACT Project is one out of 24 Environmental projects selected all over the world.
Earth5R will be presenting the ACT Project Model summary, the impact of ACT Powai and the soon-to-be-launched ACT Paris.
As a project leader, we will be connecting with global governance actors to discuss projects and share ideas with experts and decision-makers, liaise with potential funders and ultimately push our initiative further towards successful implementation on a global scale.
The Earth5R team: Founder and Director: Saurabh Gupta, Chief strategist: Nickolas Anthony, Vice-president: Bharati Marathe Gupta and Project Coordinator: Akanksha Yeola will be the voice of 26000 Global Earth5R Volunteers who have taken the initiative to build a sustainable world.
Earth5R will be Acting and Collaborating with think tanks and Global organisations to transform and solve environmental and social issues.
Earth5R believes that there is no room for negligence and the time to ACT is NOW!
