Paris Peace Forum-Project Leader

In September, Earth5R proudly participated in the inaugural Paris Peace Forum as a Project Leader in the Environmental sector, championing peace through global governance and sustainable initiatives.

The Paris Peace Forum serves as a platform for dialogue and collaboration, bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders, including Heads of State, government leaders, international organizations, civil society groups, NGOs, foundations, and experts. With a primary focus on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthening multilateral efforts, particularly through the United Nations, the forum aims to accelerate progress towards a more peaceful and sustainable world.

Selected from nearly 900 applications spanning 116 countries, Earth5R’s ACT Project stood out as one of 119 innovative projects showcased at the forum. This recognition underscores Earth5R’s commitment to driving positive change at both local and global levels.

In the illustrious setting of the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, Earth5R took center stage at the prestigious Paris Peace Forum, alongside 60 Heads of nations, prominent think tanks, and esteemed international organizations.

Leading the charge was Earth5R’s dedicated team, comprised of visionary leaders including Founder and Director Saurabh Gupta, Vice-president R&D Bharati Marathe Gupta, Vice President Strategy Philipp Bonkatz, Chief strategist Nickolas Anthony, and SDG Advisor Tom Huston, supported by a passionate team of volunteers.

Notably, the renowned French progressive media outlet Konbini graced the event as a guest, adding to the excitement and energy of the occasion. With unwavering determination and zeal, the Earth5R team presented the vision of the Project to hundreds of esteemed institutions and fellow projects, sparking meaningful conversations and collaborations.

The forum provided an unparalleled opportunity to engage with global leaders such as French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. In the presence of these influential figures, Earth5R had the privilege to share insights, exchange ideas, and advocate for sustainable solutions on a global scale.

The President of Costa Rica, Mr. Carlos Alvarado, the former President of Fiji, Mr. Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, and the Nobel Peace Laureate of 2015, Ouided Bouchamaoui, were profoundly impressed by the potential and scope of Earth5R’s project. Witnessing the exponential traction garnered by the initiative, they recognized its transformative impact and the prospect of forging strategic partnerships and alliances with various international organizations.

Earth5R embarked on its mission to the Paris Peace Forum with the objective of enlightening world leaders, changemakers, and international bodies about the power and efficacy of citizen-driven initiatives. Demonstrating that a community-centric approach, fueled by citizen volunteers, can catalyze comprehensive transformation, Earth5R showcased how initiatives like A.C.T. can empower communities to achieve self-sufficiency and sustainability.

The resolute aim of Earth5R is to globalize the A.C.T. model, extending its reach to encompass cities, towns, villages, and entire ecosystems, with the overarching goal of achieving zero waste and alleviating poverty. As Earth5R diligently pursues the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it champions collective action to propel the world towards a future that is green, sustainable, and devoid of waste.

Earth5R firmly believes that there is no time to waste and that action must be taken now to safeguard our planet and build a better future for generations to come. Through initiatives like the ACT Project and participation in forums like the Paris Peace Forum, Earth5R is committed to making a meaningful impact and inspiring others to join the movement towards a more peaceful and sustainable world.
